This 4’ rough slab of spalted black birch was hand scraped and sanded to glassy smoothness with a simple polyurethane finish. The steel base was salvaged, de-rusted, and repainted, and a lower shelf installed.
This shoe bench was custom-designed to fit my living space. The tower is pine with a cherry stain and hardware hidden by inlays. The bench is pine with cherry front, housing a sneaker shelf and a catchall bin with a custom-upholstered, hinged seat. The base is pine.
This changing table was a commissioned piece. The client needed the table to fit a small New York apartment and requested that the piece also be able to house their dog’s crate. Two shelves made for additional storage. The frame is cherry with pine plywood shelves.
This small cherry side table was made with plans and guidance from Makeville Studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. It features bridal and lap joints.
This poplar chair was made with plans and guidance from the Fashion Institute of Technology Continuing Education program in New York, NY. It features mortise-and-tenon, lap and dowel joints.
This full-size bed frame was custom designed for my living space out of 2x8 pine. Slotted hardware makes the frame easy to disassemble for moving.
This stair organizer was commissioned by a client living in a very small room with a bunked bed, in need of closet storage. It functions as a closet and stair unit, with an attached rod for hanging clothes as well. It disassembles into three sections for easy moving. It is made of unfinished pine plywood.
